Communications Intern

Position Description. FORCE is seeking an energetic, responsible individual with excellent writing and communication skills to assist with FORCE communications.

Primary Responsibilities. Assisting with the FORCE website, including updating content and preparing new material; improving the FORCE Facebook fan page; building FORCE use of Twitter and other new media; assisting with writing and editing of letters, newsletters, and other FORCE written work; helping to research and draft advocacy and policy materials; and participating in meetings, outreach events, and advocacy events.

Position Requirements.  This is a full-time position, but the hours are flexible.   The Intern will work from home, with frequent meetings with the Executive Director.

Skills and Qualifications. The Intern must have excellent writing and communications skills and be able to work independently.  Experience using graphic design software is a plus, as is a background or demonstrated interest in environmental protection or Rock Creek.

Salary. This is an unpaid internship.
